Homerun 1+1 project
Homerun team together with our friends in various professions and many volunteers have started a project to help people with HI (home isolation) since July 2021.
So far, we have taken care of more than 6000 households or nearly 25,000 people throughout the country either Bangkok or Upcountry provinces.
What we expect are to ....
- Help reduce the spread of the Covid-19 infection. In many cases, there are 6-10 people living in the same households without individual areas or sections to separate those who get infected. When one person is infected or having symptoms, the rest of the household have to be very careful as much as possible. Thus, if we can help limit the mobility out of their home, It will help reduce the spread.
- Renew hope for some people in the most difficult times of life, for example, some people live alone, some are unemployed and have no income from the impact of the coronavirus. Some people don't know what to do next when getting positive result, what to eat. Contacting government agencies is very difficult and time consuming without solid guarantee for help.
- If the infected person is green or yellow, they may not receive the medicine from the state agencies. On a case by case basis, if we can help relieve the symptoms of infection or prevent other people in the home who are not yet infected.
Therefore, we customize our support according to their needs for instance sore throat relief medicine/spray, Homeopathy medicine as well as a small amount of dry food as needed will be provided.
Most people that we have help, we have never met them before.
We will continue to do so until the situation gets better or our supplies run out.
Thank you for all supports from friends and volunteers for this humanities project.
